a The nomenclature is at the level of catalytic domain in the order of reaction steps in the pathway. See [Ref] for a detailed rationale supporting the new nomenclature. Overall reactions of tight complexes are assigned one capital letter, with α and β subunits assigned the corresponding lowercase 'a' and 'b' respectively. The convention of a bullet denotes a fusion, for example, trpD•trpC. |
